The NAHB is accepting entries for the 2008 NAHB National Green Building Awards, which recognizes individuals, companies, and organizations for excellence in residential green design and construction practices as well as for green building program and advocacy efforts.

The NAHB will present the awards at its National Green Building Conference in New Orleans, slated for May 11-13, 2008. All single-family home entries must be scored to the NAHB Model Green Home Building Guidelines in addition to the green home certification program of the builder's choice.

Entries may be submitted in four categories: Green Building Program of the Year, Green Advocate of the Year, Outstanding Green Marketing Program, and Green Project of the Year (in either single-family, multi-family, development, or remodeling). Award applications can be downloaded at www.nahb.org/gbawards, but entries must be submitted via mail. Entries are due Jan. 30, 2008. All entrants must be NAHB members.
